Homebrewing is so satisfying – and not nearly as scary as it sounds. You need some basic equipment to start, but you can reuse this for all your brewing efforts, so if this is something you’d like to get into then it’s worth getting this stuff.
In this course we’re making gorse wine, as an introduction to ‘booze making’. There are lots of other wines (etc.) you could make in a really similar fashion – elderflower comes to mind, or bramble, or other fruit. We’ve chosen gorse because it is flowering really beautifully here just now – by the time our elder flowers those further south have long since gone over.
