Mending is a great skill to have – it’s so satisfying to extend your clothes’ lease of life, and it really makes you think about what you want, what you need, and how to be responsible for stuff once it enters your house.
I’m a fan of visible mending: I like to celebrate the work that goes into making, so celebrating mending as part of the process is an obvious step. This course is designed to show you a few different ways to mend clothes, depending on the kind of fabric you’re dealing with and the kinds of repairs that need done.
The course is made up of 4 tutorials:
- Wooly Socks – darning loom – weaving
- Pyjama pants, patch
- Wooly Jumper, reknitting, patch
- Jersey top, patch
